Hmmm.... You did what I was planning on doing, except more localized.
What tipped me off was your panic room. Not suspicious at all... From then on I figured out pretty much the rest.
I died there already. Lost enchanted shit and some xp, but no biggie. And some diamond, but what I'm really peeved about is the loss of a perfectly good fishing rod.

Geeze, I was trying to be nice and hint at it without stating it specifically, to keep the secret. But now that it is out, ah well. The main problem is that you concentrated all of them, so suspicion makes them safer
On the 1.7 server, thanks to chest and funrace locking, I littered a large area with 3 deep 1x1 holes, then lined them with furnaces. You couldn't place blocks because of right clicking opening furnaces, and it was 3 deep so you couldn't jump and place water to get out. Anyway, try to at least make them not all in TrapTown, unless we can make a contest of the silliest traps. Heh heh heh...
And while on the topic of traps, no TNT (you were good), unless you really really know what you are doing with water. It can get funky sometimes.
While lava is harsh, it is one of the fastest ways to kill, and pitfall takes longer to dig and takes more room, cactus is just silly, and suffocation can be mined out of. If you are exploring a town, you shouldn't have too much to lose on you anyway, unless you came back from a distant mining expedition and decided to stop at an unknown and mostly abandoned town 100 blocks from a populated and perfectly safe one.
