I find your lack of sarcasm detection... disturbing...

I was more proponent of the reset earlier because new players were doing all the preperation for dragon, then someone goes oops I killed him.

Also, dragon egg.

Even if we had this awesome enderman farm in the nether the dragon we spawn there (Via mods) would crush it maybe?

Also, enderman exp is really that good? Why not triple cave spider spawner?

Dragon gives off enough exp for about 100 levels for one player OR Level 40 for 16 players... (Or level 50 for 10 players...) Which is ridiculous...

I wouldn't really want an enderman farm, I'd just kill ednerman on the surface with a pumpkin helm and a looting sword if I ever needed pearls again. I'd really like weekend raids of the dragon though, you sign up before hand and 10 players go in and slay it together.

With a good enderman farm, you can get to level 50 in 5 to 10 minutes. The reason I am not opposed to this fast xp is that to make a good enderman farm, you need several stacks of pistons, which is quite expensive. So for the fast xp, you have to pay a relatively large price.

That might not be fair if people who did not participate in the build used it a lot, so maybe people who build it have priority for using it.

Besides, the dragon in vanilla terms, was supposed to only be in the End once, and this is a vanilla server, so why change that? Just a thought.

And like I said earlier, SDM could maybe authorize only one enderman farm.

Ithink its a bit unfair to only allow one enderman farm, maybe people who built it should get priority over people who use it, such as kicking of players who don't use it. I would like to help build this if it levels me up that quickly, i get bored of waiting. Other than that i agree

The only reason I only want one ender farm is that if there is more than one, they each take away from each others' effectiveness.

Well, I'll fund you as many pistons as I can get my grubby hands on. I want access to that farm if it works that quickly. That's ridiculous you know. And if we built an island 150 blocks away couldn't we have a second enderman farm?

Another solution is to just wait. One person could only use it to level 50, then have to get back in line. OR everyone could just sit in front of the exp awesomeness and bathe in exp as a group.

meh i agree, the end has its limits but even if that was stretched there will be more than enough land for a couple of farms working at full

Hmmm....

There are two different farm possibilites for this.

Method one is a big sky square. Enderman land with 1/2 heart. We can have 4 people on at once, each on a different side of the square.

Method two is a modular vertical. Higher efficiency, and they all land in a 2xN area. We could have 2 on at once, on each short side of the rectangle.

Info to note: Like normal mob spawning, for maximum efficiency, either light up the island completely, or build out a path to a distant enderfarm.

I need to do more SMP spawn testing. I wonder how the efficiency changes if we have everyone next to the farm, only one person in the end, or people building on the end island at the same time.

The reason I said one farm is mob caps, and spawning spaces. If the farms are close together, then enderman might spawn in the other farm instead. Because you enter and exit at one spot in the end, having the two farms on opposite sides is a bit counterproductive.

That was the modular vertical one I mentioned. He nabbed that from the crazy engineering SMP server he sometimes plays on. Has the advantage of build height too now.

The flat one is Etho's, which while it looks cool isn't as efficient.
