Finally this is done. I was getting bored of caving consisting of walking around and mining ores with a mob encounter every two hours tongue.

Pretty sure difficulty doesn't change spawn rates.
It just makes mobs harder to deal with, it doesn't add more. Which is a shame, otherwise yay mob grinders.

Actually I am pretty sure it does. And I went caving and had to fight a poopload of mobs, which I never have before on this server.

Difficulty can be toggled via the Options menu in Minecraft. Changing this option has a direct impact in the gameplay itself. No setting impacts the quantity of hostile mobs that spawn, including peaceful. There are currently four difficulties in the game.

3. When there are multiple players, mobs can spawn within this distance of any of them. In other words, mob spawning is dependent on players on the server and their locations.
4. Presenting: The once concept that everyone needs to understand. Mob spawning fluxuates. If, after difficulty changes, you notice that there is more mobs than average, you say that supports you, even if the increase is typical. Same reason you tend to notice things like when a movie is released on your birthday, but not as often when a movie is released on, say, April 17. Your mind suits evidence to support conjectures you have. You notice when something happens (times when there are more mobs on hard, and when there are less than easy) more than when something doesn't happen (Less mobs on hard, and more on easy).

Your sig might be a little too big... Here thought I shrunk it down for you.

You may be thinking its too small, that just your perception, just squint and move closer to your screen.

same thing with mob spawns... hard mod has twice as many mobs running around if you die twice as often to them.   It's all about perception.

all trolling aside, nope minecraft mobs don't spawn more often in harder difficulties.

Also, hard mode is absolutely hilarious.

I would prefer, however, if they increased mob spawn rates, but kept the creeper radius the same.

eg.

hammertime = true;

Returning to the EXP grinding problem, I could go very deep into the concept of MineCraft hunger, with the saturation bar and the exhastion bar; It takes 20 jumps to get rid of a unit of the saturation bar (invisble, you can see when it is empty by when the hunger bar starts dancing) once you get rid of all your saturation (again, when your hunger bar starts dancing) you start losing units of hunger and at that point if you jump 20 times you will lose half a hunger bar. And different actions use more exhastion, 20 jumps use fills the exhastion and the exhuastion uses one saturation. Each action (i.e. hitting, sprinting, jumping, walking) uses more or less exhastion. Standing, however, uses no exhastion, which uses no saturation, which used no hunger. But hitting things will take a shitloads of hunger, but at least you won't be taken off guard by it. Sorry again about any spelling errors, I am at a school computer and it only has IE...
