Alright, Feed the Beast test server is up!
It's on a natural world (it comes with an adventure survival, skyblock style map)
You can find the launcher on http://www.feed-the-beast.com/. Currently using the mindcrack version.
Server ip: 76.247.186.215
(Server is whitelisted)
Download can be found here.
I reserve the right to delete myscraft worlds as necessary.

to get onto the FTB server you not only have to be accepted to SDVSS, you have to be an active forum user and a trustworthy player
we don't want people joining just to be apart of one server
So, if you don't think you haven't been active much on the forums/main server, work to fix that problem first.

Kura plans on updating to 1.2.5 after he finishes his finals, which are coming very soon. He's busy so I wouldn't bother him too much. (Says the guy that likes to bother him the most... lol)
No guarantees, but it is rumored that Tekkit will be updated to 3.04 on Thursday. 3.04 will make all mods be completely updated to their appropriate wiki's. Currently all the mods are only accurate on the Tekkit wiki. The Tekkit wiki doesn't do as good as job on some thing as does the official wikis for each mod.
Changes in 3.03 that I know of.
---Forestry Removed
---Gun Mod Removed
---All mods updated to latest versions
------This includes windmills having a maximum safe height of 147. Yay!
------Also includes the Cropmatron.
------Comptutercraft gets compare and monitors
------Etc.
---Updated Vanilla Minecraft from 1.1 to 1.2.5
-------Anvil map format, and all that Jazz.
-------Improved mob AI
-------Villagers/Iron Golems
-------Stupid mushroom bugginess...
-------Slabs and stairs! Woot Woot!
-------Redstone Lamps!
-------The other 1.2.5 stuff you should be used to if you play on the vanilla server. You can probably find more information about 1.2 on the vanilla forum somewhere... I'm lazy apparently.
[large]DON'T get upset if it doesn't update on Thursday.[/large] <-- Lol fail attempt at large text?
Feel free to delete this Kura, I assume mod privileges on this sub forum means you got some control over what happens, yes?

Alright. Updating tomorrow. Hopefully it won't take more than an hour.
I will probably be able to install most plugins while the server is active.
I am transferring inventory and player data, etc. Store everything you need in alchemical bags and your inventory.
Make sure you remove all traces of the following from your inventory:
Weapon's mod (Getting removed)
Nether Ores (Stick em in a furnace to turn them into the normal ore) (This is useless, annoying, and impossible to balance)
Red matter furnaces (You can just transmute this into RM for storage. They are currently very buggy, and you won't lose anything from "decrafting" with transmuting)

ETA?
Just wondering when as I would like to find the first jungle biome
|
|
Goals for reset:
Learn Redstone
Learn IC
Ditch EE
Try out railcraft and turtles
Find a jungle before tut.
|
|
cool goals . I thought about it and here are mine
1# Make a fully automatic [HV] solar panel factory.
2# Make a Stable Nuclear Reactor and a SUC Reactor.
3# Try out other energy sources such as oil-fuel.
4# Dwell into Redpower and hopefully use it in other projects.
5# Experiment with IC2 Agriculture. [ I wonder if i can get a diamond , gold and iron plant .]
6# Build a nice and big auto storage system.
7# Build a base and have a protection system.
8# Mess around a bit in railcraft and maybe computer craft.
9# Destroy everyone ! Umm wha ? Hmm better not ask about this one XD
10# Help out other people in there projects .

For me it is mostly make sure everything runs smoothly and start up project grey.
I might actually start again from scratch. Hmmm...
Also, the updating has begun.
Updating the first post to reflect progress.

|
yeah, tut and I have already ditched everything and restarted before the restart, we are gonna stay away from we too. With the exception of chests and bags
|
|
Player data hasn't been imported, but I think I got most of it working.
Feel free to mess around and explore for now. Make sure you update your client. (options on the bottom right. Select developmental build). (Lol tut. Wrong version there)
Post if you don't want your data transferred.
Off to do some other stuff. Will come back in maybe 2-3 hours to finish everything up, including player moving and finishing up the original post.
Note: When I import player data, it will overwrite the current data. That includes your coords and inventory. So just explore to see how good it is, and to look for a place to settle.

|
Just thought I should add in that when trying to log into the server make sure you select dev builds to log in as the recommended one is still the previous version.
In the tekkit launcher go to options and select dev builds and login
|
|
Jungle at -273, 289. Found it before you tut but you're free to use it,
|
|
Coords and then I believe you.
|
|
Player data has been imported. Everything should be working now.
Expect sporatic updates of the original post.
Also expect to be wearing a cactus.
Whoops. There were some item conversions after all. Fixing that now (hopefully). It should work soon (hopefully)
The converter doesn't touch bags, but I can do it by hand. If you have anything that looks strange or crashes, alert me.
The major changes that will affect people are to alchemical chests, Large amounts of railcraft, solar arrays, charging benches, one of the power converters, a little bit of EE
Server should be up and working.
