I have some rather unfortunate news to report. Our new OP, GotKaya, ran into some trouble with LogBlock which has caused the world to become corrupted. There was some user error on his part, but the experimental nature of the compatible LogBlock release resulted in further complications when he attempted to right the wrong.

Furthermore, due to the new Bukkit API, the automatic backup plugin has not been updated. This means that we do not have a pristine, non-corrupt copy of the world to revert to. Even worse, I have not been manually maintaining some form of backup.

Many of the issues that are currently being experienced are directly related to the corrupt world data.

Apparently, the entire map, including every player placed block, is now actually off center. Redstone wiring has been damaged and even stairs now face a different direction. Current log data is also corrupt and nothing can be done regarding compensation. Also, water is now incredibly glitchy.

It's all very unfortunate, especially considering how much hard work all of you have put into this map.

Yeah, I have been working on the server all day when I heard about this. Inner said it was corrupted but I was on all day without problems. But I guess it really is. And I ain't gonna be mad. I really want to see which weak, mistrustful people leave the server because of this. Shiz happens guys. I turned Dre's castle into lava. Just do what SDM says and be thankful he isn't just letting the server hit the fan completely.

If we are getting a new map, are we also getting a new seed? I would prefer the new seed route if its being considered.

its more than being considered hmm if we DONT do a reset, theres about a 85-90% chance of total world corruption. it will be progressively worse . if there is a reset now, all of these issues and errors will be 100% avoided. though if we dont, the server could become unplayable between now and next month.

Make a thread and vote on it? With like 50% decision the community, 50% decision of OPs? Something of the sorts? (I believe gotkaya is off for weekend, might return tomorrow or Monday)

I am most curious as to what some people will say about the map being reset. Hehehe.

Man.... No back up saves or anything? This sucks. Whatever has to be done i guess. Hope it can be fixed. if not, whatever has to be done i guess. I won't quit
