The $55.00 server might not be enough.
It would be nice, in my opinion, if we could have a decent VIP system that is paid monthly.
Then we could have a solid dedicated bandwidth solution and run two servers.
If 20 players donated $5 a month it would be feasible.

Hmm.... Kaya mentioned having a server, but seems to have disappeared from the forums recently.
I'll look into it post-AP-tests.

$5 a month is something I can do and am willing to do if that's what it comes down to. I REAAAALLY wanna play on a Tekkit server.

Actually, SDM, I meant the $3.00 one
Here is the link.

That server won't cut it for Tekkit. Low RAM VPS means all sort of background data access thrashing and lag.

SDM's got it right solo, after my stint on Techworld I don't think any lower server will do it right. That lag was insane.

Ah, yeah I forgot about the RAM
.

It also needs to be a dedicated box, a VPS will not cut it.

^good thing they're so cheap.

$100 a month is pretty decent.

Isn't that a little much? Besides, we have to look logically, how many people would be willing to support this second server? I very well can't and I doubt we don't have a large enough forum userbase to sustain enough money per month.

Tekkit is pretty dang demanding.

We might have to go with someone on on the server hosting it, like Kura or Kaya or Harlson semi-volunteered sorta.

It's not going to work out as a non-dedicated server.
I am running the current server completely dedicated and it still isn't the best.
