I was thinking that we could turn spawn into a large courtyard of sorts. Fixes all the quickly abandoned buildings that litter the area, and allows for public buildings like a better metro station, a better portal room, and the library, for example.

Mm, yeah. Spawn seems to be completely abandoned and we could do with a better opening area for all the new people that join. It's a pain telling them to "Go up the mountain" to find the nether portal. However, the nether portal is placed in the perfect location to be honest. We'd have to play around with the spawn area in the normal world to make things better, but I haven't got the authority to say yes to this. Good idea, though.

I spent so much time and effort on that library..I wish I could MCEdit it to spawn!
