On the server today we were all talking about a new world and everyone on was all for it. So is anyone against it?

It seems like a lot of people want large biomes, but the size of the world was the problem with the old map and i think large biomes will just make people want to explore more

To be honest, I was fine with a reset before and I'm fine with one now. I don't like the idea of waiting, it's just stalling the inevitable in my opinion....we're gonna reset at some point, it has to happen may as well do it sooner than later seein as the lag is already getting out of hand. I also really think that maybe some limits need to be introduced for the new map when we eventually do reset. Some people just push the boundaries a bit too far...and by that, I mean way too far. Our map size over tripled after jungle were released and that's just ridiculous.

ya SDM said the map was 5 gigs and thats why back ups are so slim

1. At least wait for 1.3. Big biomes looks amazing already, but it would help if we wait to see just how much they are planning on changing the terrain.
2. I think I am going to keep inactive on the server for a while. Have quite a lot of other things I want to do outside of school, both minecraft related and not. It would be a bit annoying to start from scratch while everyone else has built up, but I don't think I will mind too much.
3. I should stop procrasinating.
4. If we do reset, SDM, can you post the worldsave maybe, in case people want to MCEdit out their creations into single player?

Yeah, I am getting busy by the end of school and I am also busy with Tekkit (which is a lot of fun), so we should wait unitl 1.3.

ohh dear. see the problem with that is i just finished mining out a 50 by 60 room that still needs to be several layers deeper... D: but i wouldn't lose much else

I think we should wait till 1.3 to reset. I dont know about the large biomes generation. Wouldnt it make the map even a larger size? People will have more difficulty to find the biome they want and i think the new large generation is for big 100 + slot servers and we are n ot that big big_smile
