I'm definitely social as well. I come on here for fun times with others, not to amass diamonds (mainly because I'm cursed when it comes to the infernal things), and a reset doesn't really matter for this person. I do have one question though: if/when we reset, would we keep what's in our inventory? I have a diamond sword that's been through a lot with me. No loss if it's gone, but I do wonder.

I would love a non-reset server if it wasn't for the fact that EVERYTHING I make is greifed every other day. my urge to build isn't strong when i can't build only fix. the thought of a reset always kinda makes me happy thinking i can actually build from scratch instead of repairing old buildings. (me and kage's house still isn't fixed sad )

Actually, I have not been in the map yet. But nonetheless, I agree that you should wait until 1.3, then have Large Biomes. And I am aware of the annoyance of building something massive, then having it deleted in a new server map.

I say reset! i lost everything i had due to griefing... not down to try and get everything backk since the reset is inevatable.
I'm a rather new player but i was able to get well established rather quickly due to the enderfarm and nether rails. nothing was ever to far to reach and the high level enchantments meant more diamonds from ores, easier to gather resources and mobs were only a petty nuisances. Id love to start fresh and be apart of the world as it develops. everywhere i go seems so abandoned, almost like the server has seen busier/better days. This is probably why ive secluded myself in my own village and tryed to do my own thing. i feel like a sore thumb sticking out of the nether.
If the server was reset, we could go in a whole new direction and do things completely different. and instead of new players feeling like an add-on to the world they can feel like they helped shape it.
Just my 2 cents... Again I'm fairly new and i havent been playing lately as the greifiing has discouraged me.

Even if you reset now there is not much point because there are no new features, would have at least waited till the next big update where the map has to be reset. Like in 1.8

Yeah,we need another big update, Jeb looks like he is working hard, but last update we had cocoa beans and expanded biome limits... Giant abandoned castles, enchanted meddalians that shoot fire like ghasts, mining machines, portals, ATVs, hot air-ballons, and and more ores! One modder can make mods that fill 15+ pages of TMI and every vanilla update we get a handful of now things...

Those of you that are the social type, as described by Kura, I'm currently working on several multiplayer minigames in neverland. I hope that will bring more people back online. I'm currently starting a PvP castle.
