Rofl, that is the coolest thing ever.

Kura, can you reimburse me for the stuff I lost? I can tell you what that was in game.

Because I removed derpy volcanos from world gen, I added a new recepie for basalt, as requested by Shan. 2x2 of Cobble into one basalt cobble. Balancing go!

Protip: Everyone reset.
Plus, you didn't lose everything. You gained knowledge.
I don't really want to. You weren't too established. People have already gone nether mining on the new map, for example. Shouldn't take you too long to catch up.

Well I did have several stacks of copper and iron as well as several machines but okay!

Bad news.
Forestry was used by tekkit against the modder's consent, so will be removed next update
Furthermore, there is a major game-killing buildcraft bug caused by bad API in forestry.
As a result, I have disabled forestry and reset the map again.
As compensation, I kept player data.

Da Faq? I always thought Forestry was made by BuildCraft? It was meant as an addon to BuildCraft, I guess they didn't actually make Forestry? I actually spent a while on that mod
Whatever. Tell me when it goes as a permentent world and I will get on.

Forestry was another mod built to be dependent on buildcraft.
It should be permanent. Unforseen issues with forestry just forced this reset.
And my solution to the "reaching the endgame" is just start playing from scratch somewhere else, so I don't think I will need to reset for a long time, if ever.

I seem unable to connect, haven't been able to for 15 or so minutes. I thought the server was down of some sort but apparently Tut's post disproves that.
I restarted Tekkit and there seems to be nothing wrong with my internet, got on reviewstash and youtube fine.
Edit: Still unable to connect. =\

Alright, Tekkit 3.0 is going to be official soon.
http://www.technicpack.net/tekkit/
Changes:
No forestry
No weapon mod
2 more chunkloaders from railcraft
Every mod getting updated
Yet another EE dupe bug
The Tekkit server package will no longer include any Bukkit plugins by default.
We have attempted to keep some continuity between 2.1 and 3.0 block ids. There should be no major conflicts. The only known conflict is old Crafting Table II’s will be replaced by Iron Scaffolding from IC2. It is still highly recommended you start Tekkit 3.0 with a brand new world. We can not promise that words will convert or be without issue.
My "Finals" week is next week, but because I am in AP classes, it is a lighter load than normal. However, I still have things to study for, so don't have too much time this week or weekend.
Important notes:
Looks like people are going for map reset, keep inventories. Better start storing all your items. Alchemical bags help.
The EE dupe bug is with the DM and RM furnaces. I suggest transmuting them into diamonds or something before they get disabled.
I am probably going to keep the chunk loaders for now. Server not having RAM issues yet.
Do not abuse or overuse chunk loaders, and do not expand too far out and kill my map size. As long as I can handle it, I will keep it.
Questions:
Keep inventories? Thankfully, this seems doable.
Up to people whether or not they want a hard reset. Probably not, but just checking.
Keep the map? Probably not.
With inventory keeping, the main advantage of keeping the map is just complicated creations (And computer programs, but I don't think many of you care about those.)
Making sure it transports over correctly will be tricky, and will delay the updating.
Also, new 1.2.5 worldgen features.
When do you want me to upgrade?
Earlier means head start but less help from me making sure everything is working.
Earlier also means no plugins additional plugins until later, which probably won't affect you too much.
Later means more troubleshooting and more stable release, but more waiting. Also more time to build up your inventories.
While I am reinstalling all relevant plugins, any other suggestions? I have been considering a periodic reset mod, because of mob apocalypse and stuff, but haven't found any good versions yet. Any plugin suggestions?
Server been working fine? Just checking in, so that I can work on it while upgrading. Currently using 2.9G of an allocated 5, so so far not too much of a problem.
P.S. I will probably make a new thread by the end of next week, so this can be more organized. As of now, busy.

I am really getting sick of all the map resets
. I'm not getting any server problems so that's great.

Sorry about all the troubles. First one was from me making sure everything was working, second was a game-killing bug.
I can still (hopefully) do another inventory transfer, so the only lost thing is stuff you placed in complicated ways (like redstone or automated crafting chains and farms).
Further news: Looking at the forums, there are still a massive amount of bugs all over the place. I am definitely going to wait for the stable release.
