I gotta download all them links at the bottom of this page right? Those are all the plugins for the next Tekkit update. http://www.technicpack.net/tekkit/
Where am I gonna stick them? I'll just download them and stick em' in a folder for now. (Magic Launcher or the Tekkit Launcher?)
Will programs on floppy disks be carried over to the new world? I have it in my inventory, not sure if it will stay like that though.
*Prepares to be judged* I would like if we all got a hard reset, so we can take the stuff we learned and make better things.
You disabling EE this time? Can you not make a custom crafting method for EE bags and interdiction torches, whilst disabling everything else? OH! Will my transmuting table information be carried over? I got ghast tears, blaze rods, netherwart, and soulsand last night so I could transmute them, should I carry them in my inventory so I can make my table re-learn them? (If you disable EE then that's irrelevant)

I am pretty sure the options lie within the tekkit launcher itself. The tekkit launcher should automagically update all of the mods when you tell it to. Can't test right now.

Ja. Just like the data folder, there is a "computercraft" folder.

I personally don't care. I haven't committed too much and have learned a lot.
Up to everyone's votes

Wait, when did I say that I am disabling EE? I just said that there is a bug with the RM furnace, so you should transmute it away before I update.
I will probably keep a similar disable list.
The transmutation tables normally keep their data in the "data" folder. I just derped up the first time when copying everyone over.

Just realized something.
Chance of me keeping the map itself just dropped a whole bunch. Why?
Anvil.
While the conversions might not be too too bad, I think it would be preferrable for an inventory shift again.
Side note about anvil; Completely new terrain. I suggest everyone moving to spawn before the reset, just so you don't find yourself suffocating in a wall or at the middle of the ocean.
Reset will probably be next week, as I wait for everything to stabilize, community votes, and finals.

Heads up Kura if you hadn't thought of it already: Weapons mod and having weapons from that mod in your inventory during transfer.
Edit: Where's the vote gonna happen? And when?

I can't really understand your first sentance, but I assume you are talking about removing all traces of weapons mod from your inventory before the transfer. I don't think anyone dabbled in it at all, so that shouldn't be a problem. (Scythes aren't even weapons mod. They are redpower). The only things I can think of are muskets and blowguns, but I don't think anyone has shown interest
This is the vote. Vote might have been a bad phrasing. More of a "statistical gathering of community opinion as to the immediate future of the server pertaining to the recent update of Tekkit"
AKA post on this thread.

I vote for a reset, but keep inventories. I think I speak for everyone (except schem) when I say it would be frustrating if inventories got reset as well.

Yeah, I also want to keep inventories. I have been starting out in Tekkit in new worlds countless times already, including in servers before this one. I would really like to be able to keep my inventory so I don't have to do it again.
BTW, I already am ready for the reset, got all my stuff to fit in an alchemical bag via an energy condenser.

I vote for a hard reset.

Haha i was so lost while trying to read this. So this server u guys are talking about is going on along side the Vanilla server and your not talking about restarting the vanilla server ur talking about the tekkie server?

I like the map reset coming but would like to keep my hard earn items and machines ty
|
|
Map reset is ok for me as long as i keep my inventory stuff

Current consensus on reset:
New map (I agree. Anvil + new worldgen)
Keep inventories (Hasn't been long enough for people to want the hard reset. Also agree).
Thoughts on plugins, or anything else you feel like mentioning before I update next week?

Whatever, me + scheme are doing are own reset.
New map will be good, but I hope we can keep it for another tekkie update.
We need more houses this time, it seems most people just layer out their camp with IC stuff and that was all.

Can't wait for the server to go up again!

Server is currently up on the old version of tekkit. Updating to the new version should only take the server down for an hour max as I get all the plugins.

Why I am in general not too supportive of complete resets. If someone wants a reset, they just store everything in a chest and move somewhere new.
And I was planning on building a house this time. I was just learning. Before, almost everything was just from the wiki.
