so i lied, it only has 2 ram slot LOL.

I swear to you that your AMD E300 processor is slightly faster than the P4 on that motherboard.

Not only that, but the AMD integrated video beats out the ancient SIS chipset.

You could snag a recent mobo/cpu combo for $200 (Intel i3), get a $30 case, and a $100 GPU and, if the other HP parts are reusable, be rocking out.

Heck, if you don't want a dedicated GPU, the AMD APU in this chip would still let you jam (the integrated 6550D is the best integrated GPU ever manufactured):

That's $130 + 30 for a case = $160 that will slam your current HP setup (if the PSU, etc. will transfer over).

well im glad i didn't spend more than 20 bucks on that POS lol. and that all looks relatively simple. that APU is really good for that price! the best i found was a 2.4 duel core for the same price. ill have to start saving up some moneh and get some parts! I think ill get the apu first though! lol.

On the plus side, that goodwill combo would make for a decent fileserver, you could probably sell the combo on craigslist or eBay for $35 or more. Old DDR is in high demand and is expensive; check the current going rate. And, fyi, that is an Asus sis based p4 vm model microatx board.

haha the place the rotated my tires screwed the lug nuts in too tight, so while i was driving the lug nuts snapped and the wheel went about a half mile up the road, meanwhile my car stopped dead and dropped to the ground. quite scary lol.
