Quick video showing you how to make a watermill EU farm. One of the machines does require 2 enderpearls like Tut mentioned yesterday. In the video ShadowDragn uses 3 solar panels (From bluetricity). You don't need 3 solar panels as it is a bit of overkill for powering it.

From my testing and experimenting with it I got 36 watermills constantly producing 2 EU/T. That's 72 EU/t in total, which is quite nice considering watermills are the cheapest generator you can make.

2 Watermills = 1 Generator + 4 Sticks + 4 Planks
Windmill = 1 Generator + 4 Iron
Solar Panel = 1 Generator + 2 Iron, 12 Insulated Copper Cables, 4 Redstone Dust, 3 Coal Dust, 3 Glass

Edit: This also requires a lot of frieken buckets. So maybe its not cheaper... 150 iron/tin for buckets, woot!

This does require a bit of redpower and bluetricity. Bluetricity is weird, so at first I wasn't going to use it because I couldn't get it to work without solar panels (Thermopiles). ShadowDragn said that only 4 thermopiles were necessary and it seemed more like 5 were neccessary in my testing. I don't know how thermopiles work yet, but Shadow also had a video on how to set some thermopiles up. I just used his design and it seemed to work fine except for the fact that I needed 1 extra thermopile, which wasn't a major problem.

Also, you can stick this anywhere! Solar panels require the sun! Windmills require height! Watermills and thermopiles require nothing! big_smile

The project table is sweet. I can just shift click in my materials for crafting things big_smile

Dont forgt that for windmills you also need a lot of glass fibre cable to get sufficient power from a sufficient height, unless you live in the sky. That costs diamonds so I think the watermill design is actually quite nice. Just one question: do thermopiles use up the lava?

Or, if you like to be resource friendly, you can use tin cable instead. Works just as well. Each windmill is <5, and cables can take an infinte number of packets as long as they are small enough. I think everyone has more tin than diamonds.
