If you do rebuild the nether, I would recommend not building on the roof, as that was the main reason for the mind-numbing lag in the first nether...maybe it would be better to just reset it.

no literally ON the roof, but like have the ceiling of the nether system be the bedrock to the roof. that way its less likely to have large open areas.

I support rebuilding the nether. But, without a solid plan, I feel that it will turn into another mess with people using creative mode for pointless construction. The volunteers will make a nice lobby in a couple of hours. Then, they will grow tired and begin to disagree over the design of the routes. After that, it will turn into a multiple day spanning creative abuse fest. In the end, out of the dozen volunteers, only one or two will do the majority of labor.

Furthermore, we don't have the nether portals completely mapped. So, given how certain towns are now abandoned, we'd be losing routes to "interesting" places.

I vote no, until somebody proposes a good plan of action.  :p

i like their nether hub, but instead of going to everyone's houses, or in addition to, it should go to all the other places like the enderman farm, and the towns.
