The starter kits are made by members and are not OP filled (although they are more than welcome to if the desire is great). Also very important is the rule one kit per NEW MEMBER. To fill 6 chests with starter materials requires wool, tons of wood, food, feathers, flint, almost a full stack of iron, string, seeds etc. etc. The point is stop taking items from the mouths of future NEWBS!

The theory is you get this starter kit, immediately find a place to hole up and plant the free chests and start your shelter. If you run around chatting, pranking and anything but establishing a base and you die, you do not get another one.

If you have suffered from world trimming you go to an OP not the starter chests. The chests were filled yesterday and today four are gone. Two to Lemursrulell (added 1/21), one to DejaQ (added 5/7) and one to crazylogix (added 5/29). I don’t expect to see a banning but I do expect to see the kits taken replaced with at least the same items as soon as possible. Older players should be able to get around easier and get what they need better and faster than a new member on his first day.

If I am somehow wrong in my thinking let me know. Post your opinion. Maybe the starter kits wasn’t the great idea I thought they would be.
