Yes! Portal coords are super important. We should all go on a nether mission and get all the coords we can. We don't want another lost bedrock city :s

I think a nether reset should be reconsidered, i know qwip has done a lot of work in the nether and has huge projects that he's done there.  And I still think an automatic minecart station would be a good idea, it wouldn't have to be exactly like NK's.  Just some thoughts on the matter.

Ok... So... Is there to be a nether reset or no? I do not think resetting the nether will really help anything other than remove waste and restore crystals, but I am not against it either. I am against a reset without adequate warning. I have tons and tons of building materials over there invested in to projects that I would like to salvage first. Over a hundred sticky pistons is at the top of that list smile

if(reset){
    minWarnTime(7D);
}else{
    getMoreInfo(Soon);
}
i personally think resetting within a 250-500 block radius of 0,0 would be fine, keep outsides intact, build a functional(being the key word) hub in the reset area. Might be ineffective if the seed has changed.

after talking to some people in the game, lots of people really would rather have a minecart station in the nether with an automatic selector system that I could build.  I could come up with a design and post it later.  A reset would not be needed, nor would it help.  Nether is always laggy, a reset would not fix that.  If it were me, I would go thru and stop as much flowing lava as possible and put out fires, that's why it lags.  as for rebuilding the hub, we could build a simple temporary hub above the existing one, that could handle traffic while we build the new hub in place of the existing one.

I still think we need a clean slate for the main area, the current setup is illogical and jumbled

like im all for an automatic minecart system but that would completely change my design that i worked on and redstone will just lag the nether more, its more of a over world thing

the redstone will not cause lag as long as no one is using it.  When it's idle, all the redstone is in a constant state and won't produce any lag.  even when it's being used, it is just switches that change.  Any lag would be negligible.  there are no clocks in the circuitry that could cause lag.

Again, a reset is unnecessary.  once we build a temporary hub above or below the existing one, we can remove everything from the old system without disrupting traffic, or anything that should be kept.
