delete old jar. replace with the jar from minecraftforum.net

if that does not work, delete minecraft. all of it. then retry.

I reloaded everything, i replaced the minecraft jar file with the zip folder on the website, it gets stuck on openinig screen

Haggis, when you download the file, do save-as.

Save it as minecraft.jar, not minecraft.zip (just type minecraft.jar into the name)

Replace old minecraft.jar with new minecraft.jar.

It happenned? Dang. I can't put in the pre-release, so I'm pretty much screwed until Wednsday, when the update's officially released. I'm not mad at you guys, I just wish I would be able to help at the start of Spawn. Ah well; maybe in 1.4 we'll reset again, and I won't be put in this situation.

Ah, just got back in town so my vote didn't count. Also had a few more seeds to send to SDM to check out. I found a really good Island one, but didn't have time to send it before I left. Vote re-reset? lol jk.

What's the seed like that we picked anyway?

Beware the harsh suffocation glitches of the 1.3 pre-release.

I have died 4 times from non-wall suffocation - dying by falling into blocks below you.
and taken damage from this nearly 20 times.

It is harsh because it deals 3 hearts of damage at a time, not just one or one-half.

I've lost many hours and all of my resources many times due to this, so be careful and know your whereabouts for the time and the place it strikes is completely unknown. sad

It seems that suffocation also occurs when you are tightly packed with other mobs, so you don't get stuck between 200 villagers in a 1x1x2, you die instead.
