Hey guys!!! big_smile
I've been having trouble with my Minecraft lately, everytime i try to Login to any server it says
Failed to login: java.net.SocketException: Permission denied: connect
I had never ever received this message, but i can still see the Server that are Up with people playing,
i can still play SSP and everything i just can't play Online on any kind of server sad
Anyone please help me out!

double check your .jar if its the pre release or not. if you do force update i think it will bring it back to 1.2.5. if you want to do SG or HG and such you need 1.2.5 but if you want to go on the server then 1.3 pre release

I got the Pre Release on my Jar currently but i still got 1.2.5 somewhere in my Computer hmm
But i just want to know why i Cant connect to SDVSS?!?!
And still i change my .jar to 1.2.5 to play some SG and it still doesnt let me Connect to anything sad sad steve_tearful

make sure its out of the bin folder, take out all the jars then force update then take out the jar and put in the pre release

Try to "force update" your minecraft and re install the pre release smile

Move the 1.2.5 .jar onto your desktop and remove all other copies of it, delete any minecraft.jar in the bin folder, re-install the prerelease.

gummy, delete the bin folder and just re-open the game, it will have to force install it for you.

Kaya... i tried this a Billion times, i fixed the Problem already so i can play now...
Apparently Minecraft wasn't the Problem, it was Java, i had recently downloaded the
new Update (Java 7 update 5) and that was the source of the Problem.
So i downgraded my Java to the latest Java 6 and BOOM! it worked! big_smile
