Well I've returned to my laptop after 2 weeks of being away from it and it looks like it has a virus..
And I need some help if it does.

The things I've noticed are...

Internet settings are all turned off and won't turn in so no Internet access.
Antiviral software is turned off and refuses to turn on.
Applications won't start.

Not sure if this is a virus but does anyone have any directions on what to do?

Can't get on the laptop now, it's 1 o'clock and I need to sleep.

Also can't access the server sad

Did you delete system 32?

Did you try turning it off and back on again?

All jokes aside, Daniel would probably be the best one to ask, but it sounds to me like either an important system file got corrupted or had it permissions changed, or it's a virus. Have you downloaded any 4-kb video files recently? XD

Did get an email from PayPal, expected it to be something I purchased but it was detailed for another account, that might be where I got it...

Usually when I have problems with virus-y stuff I use my stupidity to solve it.

Start in safe mode, run Malwarebytes, scan for virus, quarantine, restart computer. big_smile

Otherwise I have no idea what to do. big_smile

I usually solve this Problems by taking my PC to the Doctor,
or Giving it some Cough Drops or VapoRub, Rub it all on her Body (case)...
If it those Methods doesn't end up in Complete Success...
Then i take my PC to a trip to my ToolShaft, and beat it whit a Sledge Hammer and beat the Virus out of Her y'know? but this is only used as a Last Resort.
The cough drops probably do the Trick do'h big_smile
