What should we do with the Enderman farm?
Total : 22
Scratch that. We should use tripwire. if an enderman spawns, it'll fire off the whole row of pistons at once. Allows us to use 1 redstone per piston to trigger it, but costs a bit more iron and causes more lag. Ideas?
i dont care about saving resources jouis, less lag more spawns is always worth it.
i'v donated lots and will continue to donate much of my resources for the best tower we can have
Allow me to create some scenarios.
Enderman spawns on pressure plate.
0.1 Second Delay before he gets pushed off by sticky piston. (All pistons have a 0.2 second delay now, so 0.3)
Piston retracts instantly. Allowing more enderman to spawn.
Enderman spawns on pressure plate
0 Delay before he gets pushed off by sticky piston.
Piston retracts instantly. Etc.
Endermans spawn on pressure plate.
0.2 Second Delay before he gets pushed off by normal piston. (Which sometimes bug out and don't push enderman)
1 Enderman spawns on tripwire.
??? -Point is that the entire row can't spawn enderman now, so we have to wait for all the pistons to retract.
The reason for smaller delays is for opening up the spot to spawn more enderman quicker. I've also tested both designs in creative and I still prefer the sticky piston design. Price should not matter! We have TONS of redstone, TONS of cobble, and a lot of slime and iron. Slime farms are everywhere.
We probably should use a design other than the tripwire, but I'm just saying, the endermen spawn in groups, in bursts. In the game code, if a group of endermen spawn, more endermen, regardless of distance or space available, don't spawn for at least 0.2 seconds (This can be observed with singleplayer commands using freecam and flying 140 blocks above the ground.) Also, they don't spawn on the same row twice in a row. The whole row of pistons going off wouldn't effect the spawning of more endermen at all, but it would cause lag, and we have the resources anyway.
