Today I was going through the nether, its ugly as hell guys. You know  that rule, no 1x1x12390128321012389210830 towers of ANYTHING arent allowed on the server? yeah that rule.. it applies in the nether too. I dont care if you're pillaring to get somewhere or getting glowstone, take it down when you're finish ffs..
Currently i have a BodyFreak and C4Shiii helping me out cleaning out the nether of all the cobble stone and pillars. If you're gonna make a nether path, please dont build it out of cobble stone, it doesnt take that long to smelt it to stone and craft into stone bricks, im spending my time world editing it all and cleaning these pillars.
Nether Hub construction will start soon after all the mess is cleaned up, and if you have some of your own private stuff far away, please still do help clean it up, we wont touch most portals, we hope its up to you to do it on your own.
For all you vanilla freaks that want everything 100% legit, just like the hub, not happening smile BYEEEEEE

Can I also say, if you are building across a lava lake, use netherack, just go and grab a stack it doesn't take long.

Whoever's been lowering my Karma once a day, I will find you, and I will kill you.

LOL. Hell is ugly as hell.

But I totally agree, its getting ugly, and ghasts have created a lot of fire near spawn.

the problem with this is that the ghasts will blast away netherrack, plunging u into the fiery depths.

i know the cobble is unattractive but it is the easiest, fastest way to make safe, ghast-proof areas.  I think it's used a lot for temp stuff, but when permanent structures are put in place i think most people use more attractive blocks.

I ain't signin' nuthin'

Website

Pro Tip: Use unwanted gravel and sand to fill up those lava lakes!

Please don't fill up lava lakes, well too many of them. If you build a room in the centre of one and then use it as a furnace room you can simply have fuel/lava all around you to use as fuel and no need for coal.
