Well the admin used to do a pending status for wrong apps, but stopped that due to the amount of wrong things. You messed it up the first time and mist a vital part 'proper sentence structure'. I doubt you have a chance after this, but I dunno.

Good news!
1.7 to 1.8 actually changed what biomes chunks were, ruining so many peopl
Did some testing, 1.0 to 1.1 leaves current biomes the same. Transitions mgiht be ugly, but mosscow will remain snowed in.

Looks like they did redo swamps.
As I mentioned, if this was over the holidays, I wouln't mind as much, because I would have had enough time to MCEdit everyone's house over to a new world
Main issue is that it will probably be changing more in future updates. 1.7 to 1.8 was just too horrible. These are better.

It also appears that my mob trap has been slightly broken. Items are getting stuck in walls.
My auto-rail also broke, and my arena had fence gates to hold up sand, and are now spazzing out horribly.

Hmm. They did edit fence gates hit boxes to line up with normal fences. And the sand was used to the old ones so it starts spazzing out? This update wasn't major. If you want a damned ocean go to 8bits old home. X1000 z-123. I think

We shouldn't go with a fresh map unless there's another major update. We better not do what we did last time. With free for all legendary and vechs SMP map. I think the current biomes we have are good enough anyway.

I've done a bit of testing and I can confirm that the generation change is incredibly mild. No guarantees, but the chance of seeing a world gen cliff is extremely low.

I had fence gates inside of a hollowed out area to hold up sand on the roof. I also had redstone on the inside of the area. When the redstone was active, the fence gates kept opening and closing, making a lot of noise. Making the hit box smaller wouldn't make sand fall through the gate.
I didn't want an ocean. I wanted to make sure the ocean I already had wasn't going to freeze over. 1.7 to 1.8 completely effed over biomes. 1.0 to 1.1 didn't. I don't know where you got "I need a new ocean" part, when I mentioned my ocean base. And if you meant sdm, I found it rather obvious that he was trolling.
The biggest problem with terrain change is the borders, and as kaya said, those aren't bad at all.

The fact I mentioned oceans doesn't mean it was directed at you Kura. It was to anyone wanting to stay by an ocean. And how about I don't say anything from now on. Most of the stuff was a blind guess.

The fact that you called it a "damned ocean" made you sound angry, like "If you want an ocean, fine, here, take one.", not "Hey guys, if any of you want an ocean, there is one by 8bit". It was the tone that suggested you were talking to one person.
Ah well. Misunderstanding.

I was annoyed at something at that point. That probably influenced my post.
