After playing Full Throttle this weekend I was somewhat inspired to create my own adventure. Luckily Minecraft provides a good platform for which to do so.
On the server I have constructed an adventure for you! The challenge will take across the lands, and you will search far and wide! Each treasure has a hint leading to the next. Right now there are only 4 9 locations, but I have plans for more. I figure that this could be a great way to have people explore the map and visit areas that they ordinarily would not. I estimate that each step takes an average of an hour to complete--some of the later ones take longer. I put many hours into thinking up creative puzzles and building some cool locations for YOU to explore.
Here are the rules:
No skipping checkpoints - each player must visit each site. You must go in order.
No destroying blocks or placing blocks - everything is designed to be accessed. You won't need to dig/etc. Buttons and levers may be present.
No spoiling locations for other players - It's really more fun if you figure it out yourself
Close doors when you leave a location
Take only 1 prize per person per chest. - don't be a hog
Some tips:
Bring lots of food - it isn't supplied for you.
Bring a sword - some locations may present some danger.
Crouch to hide your name above your head - prevent others from seeing your location.
Install Rei's Minimap - It will help you keep track of points in the game.
A few members on the server have already played through the 9th location. I figure this will be somewhat episodic. I will add a location, then add the hint to the previous location so that you may pick up where you left off. No guarantees on frequency. If you come across any chests that are empty let me know so that I may replenish it. Also if any parts get blown up by creepers let me know too.
Here's the first clue to get you started!
Start in spawn city, and find a good view to get familiar with the layout. Knowing the cities and towns will help you get around the map quickly.
Also please leave feedback here!
Thanks and Enjoy!

Just like morrath did? Except better?
Haven't really played much. Been having too much fun with the snapshots.
Sounds somewhat interesting. I like this kind of stuff.

Like that, but more varied.
Also note that these can be completed without anyone else on. However if you get stuck you wont have anyone to give out hints
Quite a few people have finished up through the 6th part so the game isn't too hard. I'm working on adding some locations that are in the wilderness too. It should make things interesting
If anyone reaches any points that are out of treasure let me know so that I may replenish them.

nothing in chest #6
clever hint there btw... tricky if you don't know much about the musical.

Check the chests to see if anyone takes more than 1 item (Or stack, assuming that iron blocks in a stack of 2 or 3 is considered an item I hope?)

hawk took everything left in there for some reason... i guess he though it was the last reward and you get it all?? rofl

I will put a sword and some slime balls back.

Parts 7,8,9 are now available (and epic)

Any extra clues for part 7? About 4 people in the same place couldn't solve it...

I have gotten somewhere. Numbers Sum + Boat acronym. But what is that referencing to the server?
