1.2.3 has ruined a lot of the stuff modwise I was planning on doing.
Plus, MCEdit has completely collapsed, and is slowly picking up after the sole creator abandoned the project.
So going to do some server touring and be a helpful nomad.

Attatched is where I am currently stuck in the lava in the nether after a failed netherpearl jump to a strange wall I saw while returning from Schematix's house.
21, 710, 24.
I had on me 1 stack of iron blocks and 2 stacks of diamond blocks that I had the intention of distributing as gifts around the server after I checked out Schematix.
A simple method for escape is for someone else to fill the pool around those coordinates (3x3 perhaps) to the top with gravel/sand, then making a decently sized platform on top. That would at least let  get smp-pushed to the top when I reconnect, so my stuff won't fall into lava. It will be a long walk, but that is the simplest solution I can think of.

I am in no rush. Decided to try out worldpainter.

I'll work on it today, btw, Kaya and I made a nether portal on the nether roof. We were actually talking about how you logged in, then instantly logged out last night. Was quite amusing. :S

You should have sum contests for those diamonds, and make sure no one that already has a ton of them, not to get any. Kaya doesn't need more diamonds. >smile

I did that login to nab a screenshot.

For the diamonds, I was planning on being my typical benevolent troll. Equally distribute them among the established players who I can find, but in very strange places.
Ex. Obstructing your bed, floating over your house, underneath a pool of water, creeper face, 8 corners of the rooms, etc.

It is also possible for me to escape by myself. It would take about 2 hours.  There is a 2 second invurnability window after logging in. Login, swim up slightly, logout. Repeat 200 times until I reach the surface. Repeat another 200 times to find a place to exit the pool. Repeat another 50 to wait out the fire damage.
Yeah, I need to carry more potions with me. I filled my inventory for travelling. tongue

Done tongue There was a 2x2 gravel pillar when Jousis and I got there. It wasn't quite on you... so we expanded it until you had a proper hole there. Be ready to log out if you are still in lava.  smile

I put a chest down there and made a path after I took the screenie. The chest has melons, some gravel/netherrack and fire res pots.

If you need anymore help just tell me tongue (I currently live at Kaya's labratory if you feel like dumping some diamond blocks around the place tongue)

Edit: Hahaha Skyler! I beat you be like 20 minutes. tongue And I'm apparently derp when it comes to photos/screenies.

I had completely forgotten I was carrying the diamonds. And the pearl hit a ghast that had just spawned. I thought it was a completely safe throw. >.<

Edit: I would upload pictures of the glitchy nether terrain, except I snapped them at full screen, and am out of time to resize them.
Sigh, my screen is too big. tongue

And thanks to Jousis, I have discovered a new SMP bug: You can break piston heads in smp. I tested in single player, doesn't work there. only multiplayer.

I was crediting him with pointing out that you can break piston heads independent of the piston in SMP.

Oh no, I meant that I was hanging out today and like people were like, Jousis, you saved Kura? You're awesome!

I told Jousis that he should help me so he would get credit, so that you might give him diamonds, because he is new. I gave him all the materials and the fire potions. It's not that big of a deal, more of just an amusing situation. big_smile
