Any block, as long as its not glowstone, wood or lava. Just not overused. Or anything that just doesn't apply to common sense. I.e. TNT.

mycellium is not considered dirt but grass is?

Mycelium can be used for decoration, but It's meant to be mainly grass, as you can get grass easily but you need to be in a shroom biome or have a silk touch pick for mycel. It's basically only because it's purple really.

Tell me hawk, how bad would it be to use glasslights? You know, glass flooring covering a torch? Both are easily made early on and it's a great way to light homes imo. Also, mechanics. Is it bad to make say a wooden pressure plate for like a fence gate? Are fences considered decoration? I agree with azy when I say that I feel like the decor rule needs a bit more explaining.

Glasslights? I suppose you could have a few. Fences are considered decorations, but along as you don't have a wall of them around the house you should be fine. I'll allow 2 pressure plates at most.

Alright, cool. I don't want 'em all over anyhow, just enough for lighting and two as a replacement for a wooden door. I don't like making wooden doors, zombies are annoying with those.
